Here's something I heard today on TV- one of the truly rare times anything on that vast wasteland made any sense -so I'm sharing :-)

ReplyDeleteQuieten, many years ago when my late husband had open heart surgery we were lying in bed one night and he told me how much he hated the scar down the length of his chest and another one from his thigh to his knee, he was self conscious of them and hated what they reminded him of.....I put my arm around him and spoke to him from my heart, I told him I loved every inch of those scars..... because of them I still had him beside me each night and I meant every word of it. Yes those scars gave us another 10 wonderful years together......and I still love those scars and all the extra time the surgeries allowed us.
